The Alliance Raid Event is evolving. A second boss is joining the rift — and this one doesn’t play like anything you’ve faced before. Meet Vor’thuun: a living fungal fortress that grows stronger the longer you fight it.
Deep within a realm of rot and relentless evolution stands the Devouring Spire — a fortress of interwoven fungal matter that expands, heals, and hardens with every cycle. At its core sits Vor’thuun, the first fungal being to awaken true awareness. Its brood is not a mindless swarm — it’s a connected ecosystem of predators. When they fight, they feed. When they feed, the colony grows.
The Empire’s scholars have glimpsed this threat through the rift. If the colony reaches our world, it will consume all strength and become unstoppable. It’s time for a pre-emptive strike.

🍄 HOW THE FUNGAL SWARM WORKS
This boss introduces a completely new gameplay dynamic built around spore management and wall pressure:
1. Break the Walls — Attack the boss and smash through its fungal walls. But beware: these walls regenerate every 5 minutes, and each regeneration cycle spawns dormant Spore units into the boss’s reserve.
2. Manage the Spore Build-Up — Dormant Spores sit in the reserve. They don’t fight, they don’t add to the boss’s health — yet. But they’re ticking time bombs. Use the new support tools to delay wall regeneration or eliminate spores before it’s too late.
3. The Mutation Trigger — When the boss hits its final health stage, ALL remaining dormant Spores mutate into powerful combat units that flood the Courtyard. Fewer spores = easier final phase. More spores = a nightmare.
4. The Final Assault — Overpower the mutated swarm and the boss’s remaining defenders to claim victory. Alliances that managed their spores well will breeze through. Those that didn’t… good luck.
The takeaway: Speed and coordination matter more than raw power. Every wall regeneration you allow makes the final fight harder. Work fast, use your tools, and don’t let the spores pile up.

Every health stage features the Spore Spawning mechanic on wall regenerations. The final health stage (at 17%) triggers the Mutation — converting all dormant spores into full-strength combat units.

Six new boss units are introduced:
Regular Defenders:

Dormant Spores (spawned by wall regeneration — sit in reserve, don’t fight):

🟢 Dormant Spore Cyst — Ranged dormant spore
Mutated Forms (what dormant spores become after the final health stage):
🔴 Spore Gnasher — Strong melee unit (mutated from Dormant Spore Maw)
🔴 Cyst-born Sporecaster — Strong ranged unit (mutated from Dormant Spore Cyst)
Key info about dormant units:
→ They have 0 strength and never enter the Courtyard
→ They are visible in the new Reserve Unit Container on the attack screen
→ They do not contribute to the boss’s health bar
→ If only dormant units remain, the boss is considered defeated
→ Once mutated, they become regular powerful units that fight and contribute to boss health

Two new tool types are available to counter the Fungal Swarm’s mechanics:
🕐 Wall Regeneration Delay Tools
Delay the wall regen timer, giving your alliance more time and reducing spore spawns.
Available for: Left Wall, Front Wall, Right Wall, or All Walls combined.

📺 UI IMPROVEMENTS
New: Reserve Unit Container
A new panel on the attack dialog now shows all units in the boss’s reserve pool. This works for ALL Alliance Raid bosses — not just the Fungal Swarm. You’ll be able to see dormant spores accumulating in real-time.
Updated Health Bar
A new turquoise health bar segment shows the health share of mutated spore units. Before mutation, no turquoise appears. After the final health stage triggers, the turquoise shows exactly how much of the boss’s health comes from mutated spores — giving you a clear read on the fight’s intensity.
